This name belonged to a mountain on the territory of Ancient Armenia, where, according to legend, the Noah`s ark stayed after the Great Flood described in the Bible. The sacred mountain Ararat was always considered as the symbol of Armenia.
The brandies Ararat have particular success, fascinating of its softness, full harmony tastes and exceptional aroma of high-quality Armenian brandies. Brandies are produced from high-quality eaux-de-vie (water of life), ageing about of 3 and 5 years old. ARARAT has the characteristics flower-vanilla taste.The long ageing in oak barrels gives to it more dark color and extractive taste.

Very neutral on the nose with just a touch of cereal aroma and a hint of alcohol. Very good mouth feel, dryish in style but with some very light hints of caramelization. Just touches of needle from the alcohol. Sweetish but rather short on the finish. I maintain that this makes one of the finest vodka tonics in the world, perhaps because the mouth feel of the vodka lends a bit more weight to the mixture that other, lighter vodkas. Alternatively, put it in the freezer to drink ice-chilled when it becomes thick in texture, smooth, and very dry.
